Hi I'm Hailey

I grew up in Vancouver, Washington. I'm the oldest of five children and I love anything on two wheels! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend Brigham Young University studying something medical. I have completed my first year and am pressing the pause button to serve a mission for the church. I have been assigned to labor in the North Dakota Bismark mission and I couldn't be more excited! I love to mountain bike, road bike, dirt bike - pretty much anything on two wheels! I'm the oldest of five children - one boy smack dab in the middle of four girls.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church where I've been in a household with parents that have encouraged me to live the gospel. For a lot of my life I went through the motions of living the gospel because it was a routine thing to dot that I had done my whole life. When I started growing older and maturing spiritually I took a step back and questioned why I was doing what I was doing. It was several months of questioning and wondering and pondering - and this process still continues over the course of my whole life! This process is referred to by many references - a trial of faith, or a conversion through questioning. It was a unique experience to look at what I was living and find a reason to live it. I began to notice the things that I truly loved about the church. The most notable and most important was the incredible happiness that I experience because of it. This happiness comes from knowing who I am, where I came from, and where I am going. It comes from knowing that I am a daughter of a divine being and as such I have a divine nature. It comes from knowing that I have Heavenly Parents that love me more than I can ever comprehend that sacrificed so much for me to progress. I enjoy so many blessing from this gospel and I want all to have access to that same source of true joy that I get to enjoy. I have a testimony of this gospel. When I say I have a testimony it doesn't mean that I have a perfect knowledge of all things spiritual. I don't have a perfect testimony in any way, shape, or form but what I do know is that I have a Heavenly Father that loves me and that he has incredible blessings in store for me. I love this gospel and I am proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I love the gospel and because I love it I live it! I live it by serving in my calling as Visiting Teaching Coordinator. I love the principle of visiting teaching! Visiting Teaching is when we, as sisters, have the opportunity to visit and serve one another. Every month we share a spiritual message with our assigned women from the ward and look for opportunities to serve them. It is a great opportunity to love the people around you! I also live the gospel by sharing it with others! It brings me so much joy and because it does I love to share that joy with others! I'm so excited to share the joy that I have as a result of the gospel with the people of North Dakota on my mission.
