Hi I'm Hollee

I grew up in Utah, I play the violin, and am learning American Sign Language. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the violin, and love learning American Sign Language. I'm currently going to college with a Deaf Studies Major, and a music Minor. I love to try new things and I look for adventures to actively do with my family. I love hiking, fishing, and hunting, basically all of the outdoor activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in this gospel, and I am grateful for that. I love my parents and the example that they set for me by living the gospel as best as they can. Growing up, I think that I relied heavily on my parents' testimony until I turned 8. This is the time that I was baptized into the Church, and began to grow my own testimony. I had been given a brand new set of scriptures, and was so proud to say that I started reading it on my own. When I turned twelve was also a pivot point for me learning about this gospel. When you turn twelve, you start a program called Personal Progress. By starting to participate in this program, I started some projects and activities that encouraged me to read the scriptures, and come closer to Jesus Christ. That program definitely developed me as a person. I personally am a member of this Gospel because it brings me happiness even when my days are long and hard. Even when living the standards isn't easy, or it causes me to lose some of my friends, I know that it has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I love that I am able to pray to my Savior, and receive guidance for my life. I would not be able to be my best without the promptings that I have been able to receive during my life. I know that the leaders are called of God, and are able to know how best to direct this Church. I trust in this gospel, and love that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I currently participate in my ward by simply attending, and by working in one of the temples. I love the way that working there feels, because it helps me relax and gain more patience with myself and those who go to the temple. The temple definitely is a holy place, and I love how close I feel to my God when I am there either as a patron or a worker. I like attending my ward because they're like one big family. They remember when I've been on vacation, had a big event, and will ask me about it when they see me. I feel special when I come in, and also when I leave. Yeah, there are some that are more like the siblings that I don't get along with, but understanding that we are all children of our Heavenly Father helps me to avoid being too critical of anyone and myself.
