Hi I'm Matthew Clark

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I enjoy playing sports and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I played basketball and volleyball at my high school and I also play tennis with my family. I love to laugh, make jokes, and have a good time with the people around me. I will be serving a mission in the Washington DC South mission, I will be reporting July 5. After my mission, I plan to attend Brigham Young University in Provo and further my education there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and my whole family is Mormon. That is not the real reason that I am Mormon though. I am a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who really did see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith followed God's instructions to restore Jesus Christ's church back on the earth. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins, mistakes, sicknesses, hardships, and much more. I want to show Jesus that I am grateful for everything He did and does for me by always trying my best to keep His commandments, to follow Him, and to help others. I know that I am not perfect but as I continue to exercise my faith in Jesus Christ and the leaders of His church and follow their counsel, I can constantly be improving myself. So that when I see Jesus Christ again, I will not be embarrassed to see Him, but overjoyed to personally thank my Savior and Redeemer for saving me. I love this church and I know that by following it's teachings I can find peace and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward by setting up chairs for church meetings every Sunday, helping administer the sacrament, and planning activities. I am a home teacher, so I visit a few families in the ward every month to see how they are doing, ask if they need any help, and sharing a brief message with them. I try to help out neighbors or anybody else in my community whenever I can.
