Hi I'm Spencer

I am 18 years old. I've been called to serve the people of Trujillo, Peru. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love playing sports, hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding and anything else outdoors. I play for my highschool's varsity volleyball team and love it. I love to be with my family, they are my favorite people on Earth! They always know how to bring a smile to my face and help me feel loved. I love getting to know new people from all around the world and learning about their culture. My dream is to one day travel the world and have that chance to experience all sorts of different food, cultures, and people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love being a Mormon. I feel the happiness that comes with living this gospel and never want to lose that. I want others to feel it too, which is why I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in Trujillo, Peru. I want to share the glad message of this gospel to all the world and am so excited that I was called to serve the people of Peru. I know that those who accept this gospel will be able to feel of God's love for them and have the same desire I do to share it. It is a message of joy, filled with the promise of living again after we die along with our families. I know that Christ died for us so we can live again. I'm not perfect, not even close, but I know that through Christ's grace and His Atonement, I can repent of my sins and be completely and totally forgiven. Through this forgiveness, I can continue to grow and improve in this life to prepare for the life to come. This is my testimony of this joyful gospel and a glance into why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to live my faith is through serving others who are less fortunate than me. I love being a part of service projects and donation drives for those who are in need. I especially love working with refugees who are relocating here in the US and need help adjusting to their new lives. It breaks my heart to hear about the horrors that drove them away from their homeland, but I know that it is all a part of God's plan and that I can be an instrument in His hands if I strive to help them through this hard time. I know that I don't understand what these beautiful people are going through, but I do know that there is someone who does, and His name is Jesus Christ. It is because of Him that we all have someone who understands our trials and helps us overcome things we couldn't overcome alone. I feel the love God has for His children as I serve them.
