Hi I'm Jaren

I grew up in Montana. I love music and games. I play several instruments, and even more games. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy both video games and board games, especially cooperative ones. I really like to work together with people rather than against them. I have played the piano for a long time, and sometimes I play the hymns in church. I taken some college courses, working toward a Software Engineering degree. I am also an avid reader. I love to sit down with a good book, and of course I always love snacks. Food is one of my big loves in this life. I am 19 and I am serving a mission for the LDS church in Virginia.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, and over the course of my life I have learned about many other religions and philosophies, but I never left the gospel. Everytime I learn more about it, or live its teachings, I feel peace, and I feel good. I have noticed a significant difference between when I am living it's teachings and when I am not. When I start doing something that goes against the gospel, I always have a sick feeling and do not feel good about it. I have never doubted my faith, and everytime I think about what I would do or what philosophy I would follow besides this one, I feel like I would be missing something or feel lost. I love the sense of direction and purpose I feel from this gospel, and I am never confused about what to do next. I know this to be the only church with the fulness of the truth. It is Christ's gospel, and the only way to get back to our Father in Heaven in a way that really pleases him. Only through obedience to His gospel can we achieve the highest degree of glory in His kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. I have had many callings, and I have found that I enjoy teaching others about the gospel. I have also played the hymns in some of my wards, and though I am not as dedicated as I should be, I never lose sight of the important things. I find it easy to live my faith in everyday life, and be an example to all those around me. We all have our challenges, but I know that with faith in the Lord, these challenges become much easier to overcome.
