Hi I'm Gavin

I was raised in the state of Wyoming. I am serving the Alaska Anchorage Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary for the LDS church. I am the first to serve a mission in my mother's family. I am a big music lover. I have played in a band for 7 years. I am a wrestler and state champion. I am an eagle scout. I have worked as a life guard since I was fifteen and I have also taught swimming lessons in the summers.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, both of my parents are members. As a member of the church I have attended Sunday meetings regularly. Even though I went to church I didn't know if I believed everything. I knew that my parents believed and they were always happy. I wanted to experience that for myself so I began to approach the church as if I were an investigator and I began to pray very frequently. I can now tell you with a firm surety that our Father in Heaven is real and he answers prayers. He has answered many of my prayers since I tested the church and got a testimony. I know that the Prophet Joseph Smith saw the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. This church is true and it will bless your life as you live the standards and take to heart the teachings of the church leaders

How I live my faith

I have been a part of the youth program in various leadership positions in the church since I was twelve. Together, as youth, we planned service activities such as purchasing and giving meals to families during holidays. We also planned fun activities like dodge ball or fishing and inviting other youth in the community to join. Now I am serving a mission in Alaska for two years.
