Hi I'm Danica

I grew up in Utah. I like hiking and swimming. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farm town in the middle of nowhere. I love hiking, swimming, biking, and basically anything that gets me outside. I moved away from home last year, and I'm currently attending college, but I have no idea what I'm going to major in... I'm preparing to leave to serve a mission in two months. I'm really excited to devote 18 months of my life to doing the Lord's work and to serving others while I am there.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Mormons, so I grew up with a foundation set in the church, but my conversion is something that has come little by little as I have studied the scriptures and grown through experiences that the Lord has placed in my life. I have learned that although there will always be trials in our lives, our Heavenly Father will never leave us comfortless. He has a plan for each of us, and He truly wants us to be happy as we learn and grow through following Him and the path He has placed in our lives. I know that although life can be really hard and often heartbreaking, I feel that it would be so much harder without the Gospel to light the way.

How I live my faith

I participate in my ward in a number of ways through callings and visiting teaching, but I feel that the biggest way members can live the faith is by serving and loving those around them-- which is something everyone can and should do anyway. Some of my favorite experiences have been those where I have been out visiting the elderly or offering to babysit for couples that want to go out for an evening. Service is one of the biggest ways we can show our love, not only for those around us, but to our Heavenly Father as well.
