Hi I'm Isaac Maxwell

I've lived many places in the US. I've earned my Eagle Scout. I'm Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Isaac. I live in a big family with 5 siblings. I'm a young adult, working part time and preparing for a mission. I've moved around a lot in my life from Florida to Utah, and now Kansas, never living in the same place for longer than a few years. I like to write, read, and make things. I'm an eagle scout, and I've been homeschooled since 7th grade. I love to listen to music. I currently work a part-time job as a dry cleaner. My heritage comes from many European countries, like Sweden, Scotland, Switzerland, and that's just the S's! I love a good laugh, and I love to help people in anyway I can. I also lived through natural disasters, including the Joplin Tornado.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, to two parents that have loved me and taught me the gospel. For a while I sort of just accepted that the gospel was true, but the time came when I was a teen that I really had to know. Doubts were seeping into my mind, and I realized I didn't know for sure if the gospel was true. So I prayed one night, asking with sincere desire to know if Joseph Smith was really a prophet, if the Book of Mormon was true, and especially if there really was a Jesus Christ. What I felt was a feeling of peace and love in my heart, and the feeling that I did know it deep in my heart. Nothing convinces me more that this is gospel is true, that I need to live it and serve others, than the knowledge that I am a child of God, and that my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me, and that my Savior Jesus Christ loves me, enough to take my sins on him. This knowledge helps me get through life, through the good and the bad, and I don't know where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the church as a youth leader. I love working with the youth and having fun with them, and especially teaching them about the gospel. I'm also a ward missionary, helping the missionaries teach people they find, and do my best to help them feel welcome at church.
