Hi I'm Jake

I'm 18 years old. I'm about to graduate high school in Utah and am looking forward to serving the people of Saltillo Mexico.

About Me

I'm 18 years old. I like to run, ski, paint, draw and play baseball. I come from a large family of 8 kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have sought out an answer to whether or not this church is true and it is. I have the spirit in my life and i know that the doctrines of this church are true. The gospel simply makes me a better and happier person and gives me hope.

How I live my faith

I try to set God first. I prioritize and do my best to give myself adequate scripture and prayer time. I also try to fulfill my calling as a home teacher by visiting and being a friend to my home teaching families and others of my ward. I also make it a point to attend mutual even when I'm busy with sports or school.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jake
A testimony to me is the beliefs and knowledge you have gained from God through seeking to follow him. The spirit witnesses truth unto people and a testimony is made up of those things that the spirit has witnessed to be true unto you. I have read the book of mormon and prayed about it and God has answered my prayers through the spirit confirming that it is true. This is how I gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and how anyone can gain a testimony. Show more Show less
