Hi I'm Michael Kennedy

I grew up in Hawaii where I was a professional musician for 40 years. I teach the drums now.

About Me

I am a semi - retired musician. I still teach the drums privately. I am a convert to the Church Of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. I was Baptized when I was 39 years old. I am divorced. I live with my daughter and son in law in Oregon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints because when the missionaries of the church taught me about the atonement of Jesus Christ and about Heavenly Fathers plan of salvation I felt something very special. I feel that what they were teaching was pure truth. I have made the commitment to show my love and gratitude for my Savior by trying my best to obey His commandments and by sharing the truth with my fellowmen. I desire to live once again with my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ and The Church is the only Church that offers the ordinances necessary to be able to qualify for that.

How I live my faith

I have taught the youth and the adults and I am presently called to be a Branch Missionary in the church and my responsibility and opportunity is to share what I believe about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Michael Kennedy
When the Mormon Missionaries taught me the truth about Jesus Christ's atonement I felt the Holy Ghost confirm that truth to me. I had thought, growing up, that Jesus was like the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus, or at best some mythological God, not a real man. When I believed in what was taught to me by these special witnesses of Christ I committed to spend the rest of my life trying to thank Him for his sacrifice by doing my best to keep His commandments, by serving Him and sharing this truth with my fellowmen.
