Hi I'm Emma

I play the saxophone, I love Dixieland jazz, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! I'm Emma. I like high-fives, being excited, non sequitur, and pizza! I play the saxophone and clarinet (and the flute, I guess...). I can't get enough of playing my instruments, so I'm in six different ensembles at my college. My favorite of these is the Dixieland band! Hurray, Dixieland! I was also the drum major of my high school's marching band my senior year, and I loved it! I'm studying Music Education with the aspiration to become a band director.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel makes me happy. Every time I read the scriptures I feel God's love for me. I remember visiting the temple one day with the intent to find out if the Book of Mormon was really true. As I was sitting in the chapel pondering my question, one sentence popped into my mind, "Of course it's true." Of course it's true! How could it not be? The beautiful truths the gospel has have helped "Go forward in life with a twinkle in [my] eye and a smile on [my] face" (Gordon B. Hinckley), and I couldn't be more thankful for the message of the restored gospel.

How I live my faith

I teach gospel doctrine in my single's ward. I love the discussions we have! I never feel like I'm teaching anything, but rather I'm the one being taught. I've also just received a mission call, and I can't wait to go and share the gospel with others!
