Hi I'm Louise

Born in England, my family migrated to Australia when I was young. I'm a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The main focus and passion of my adult life has been being a mother to four children, one being a beautiful step-daughter. In recent years, as my children have grown up I became a 'uni student' and am now a Registered Nurse. I'm passionate about nursing and love this new challenge.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young girl I learned to love God (Heavenly Father). At the age of 5 I attended the Salvation Army Sunday School in Norfolk, England and there I learned to love Jesus. I felt close to him and used to pray by myself. When we moved to Australia my parents attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). As a teen I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know for myself if it was really true. By the time I finished the book, I had an unshakable belief that this book was true and can teach us how we can return to live with God again. So many times he has answered my prayers. I have read & sincerely prayed about the Book of Mormon. As I read it I often find answers to dilemmas in my life. My favourite scripture is in 3rd Nephi were we read about how much Jesus loved the little children and how he blessed them and prayed unto God for them. I love knowing the purpose of this life & knowing we can experience inner peace in troubled times. Jesus Christ has helped me through many challenges in my life. I love to read the Bible too, especially the New Testament. I love to read about how Jesus walked along the shores of Galilee, and how he healed, taught and loved the people when he lived on earth. I believe that the truth was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have gained great strength through these teaching which have assisted me in me in raising my children.

How I live my faith

I love helping to run the children's program at church on a Sunday (primary). Children are so open & honest & seeking truth from a young age. I believe that helping them to know that God and Jesus Christ know them & love them individually will bless them incredibly throughout their lives. Just knowing that they can talk to Him through prayer and receive answers: in the form of guidance, comfort and direction in their lives is a great gift. Also, like most women in the church, I am assigned to visit about 3 women from church each month. We report back to our president any physical or emotional needs the lady may have and through an action plan, we strive to help meet those needs. I love doing this. For example, meals for the family of new mums, helping the sick and visiting those who may be lonely.
