Hi I'm Burke

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I'm a future missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Seattle, WA where I lived for 3 years before moving to AZ where I've lived ever since. I'm the oldest of 6 and have a wonderful mom and dad as well. I've always been a huge sports fan and have loved playing sports like baseball, football, and basketball. Aside from sports, I also just enjoy hanging out with friends. Recently, I had the opportunity to go to BYU-Idaho for 2 semesters and have now been called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington Vancouver mission Spanish speaking. I love the Church and can't wait to share the gospel to everyone I meet.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this Church and it provides happiness for me. There were times as a teenager that I didn't truly believe in this Church or want to be a part of it at times but as I have put in time reading the scriptures and praying, slowly but surely I've developed a strong testimony of this Church. The priesthood, the Atonement, sacrament. It's all true. I know that I have lots to learn still but I know that this Church is true and I'm so grateful for its place in my life.

How I live my faith

I've always strived to be an example to those around me since people are always watching whether you notice or not. Whether it be hometeaching (teaching assigned families in the ward lessons at their home each month) or other callings as an elders quorum teacher (teaching other elders at church each week) , I try to give what I can to each and every calling.
