Hi I'm Max Marks

I grew up in Sammamish, Washington. I love the outdoors and traveling. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently finished my first semester of college. The places I've lived have been filled with beautiful landscape, therefore making being outdoors enjoyable. I love hiking, kayaking, and traveling. A few years ago, I visited Lima, Peru on a humanitarian trip to help some families who live in the villages. For my Eagle Scout Project, I provided relief to those living in Nepal after the earthquake hit last year. I hope to become a healthcare provider to those in my community as well as for people overseas.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church and the opportunities to serve within. Being part of a ward family, and the greater church community, provides a way to assist those in need while still being cared for. Christ gave us a perfect example of how to live our lives. It is through this church that I have found lasting happiness in doing as He would do. I'm a Mormon because of the faith I have in Jesus Christ. God is our literal Father in Heaven, and he has a divine plan for us to return back to our heavenly home. This life is given to us to learn and grow and because of the sacrifice Christ made for us, I have faith that we may return to our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I serve as the leader for the young men ages 17 to 19. I love serving with them and fellowshipping the other members of the ward. Through hometeaching, each of the young men I preside over visit other men and women within the ward's boundaries. These efforts create a feeling of love and care among our ward family.
