Hi I'm Emrie

I'm a collector, I'm a creator, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and have lived in Utah my entire life so far. I have two amazing parents, one sister, and two brothers. I am a collector. The selves of my little room are covered with glass bottles and containers filled with sand, shells, and rocks from the continuous adventures I go on with my happy little family. I keep at least one bottle filled with flowers, changing them as often as I can. I am a creator. I spend a lot of my time with paint brushes in hand and oldies humming in the background. Other times I find myself in front of an oven or stove making tasty treats, often with the same old music playing. I love nature. I enjoy being out along side Gods creations. I spend much of my time exploring, hiking, and camping. One of my favorite things to do is stare at the night sky, stars bright and shining.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I read the Book of Mormon. I studied and pondered the words it contained. In the end of the Book of Mormon there is a promise that if you read it and then ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Chirst if it is true you will receive the answer that it is by the power of the Holy Ghost. I did this and I received the answer that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. This lead me to know that Joseph Smith, the man who translated the Book of Mormon in the 1820's, is a prophet of God. I know that he restored the fullest of the Gospel back to the earth through the power of God. I know this church has the fullness of the Gospel. I know my purpose here on earth. I also know that no one has an easy life. The Lord made it so we would have challenges, but through Christ, life can become easier. He can be our helping hand, our rock, all we have to do is try our hardest. I know that if I do all I can to overcome my struggles He will help me the rest of the way. I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon, because with out this gospel I would be lost. With the church in my life I am happy, at peace, and comforted.

How I live my faith

I live my faith openly. I also attend church every Sunday. After graduating from high school I was asked to be a leader over the very young children so there parents could attend their meetings with minimal distractions. So every few Sundays I go in and help watch, play, and teach the little ones. On the other Sundays going to my own classes and learning more each week. I am now serving a full time mission for the church. I am serving in the Washington DC North mission for a period of 18 months. I am devoting my time to the Lord. I share my faith with many people of all different religious backgrounds, I simply invite all to learn more about Mormons.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We all lived with our Father in Heaven, or God, before we came to this earth. We all chose this path. Our purpose here is to choose to follow God again and return to live with Him. Show more Show less
