Hi I'm Savannah Kofford

I'm a soccer player. I'm a musician. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in a family of 5 girls, and we are each very unique. I played on a competitive soccer for about 12 years, but I enjoy playing all sports or any type of activity outside in the sun. My family has been boating since before I was born. Lake Powell is our Heaven on Earth and I love every minute I get to spend skiing out on the lake. I have played the violin for 11 years now. I was able to play in my Universities Symphony Orchestra this past year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have never been a good dancer but I LOVE to go Country Swing dancing every week, and even though I am still learning and am still a terrible dancer, I have the time of my life!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are fabulous. They have brought me and all my sisters up in this true church. Their example is a huge help to why I am a Mormon. However, it is by far not the only reason. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and I know of its truth. I am a Mormon because I have seen Gods hand in my life and those around me and know that He is there. I am a Mormon because I have heard the words of the living prophet and know he speaks through revelation. I am a Mormon because I have faith that through the Living Christ all man kind can be saved through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. I am a Mormon because I know that this gospel is true and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

The past few months I have been able to attend a Young Single Adult Ward and it was awesome! I was called to serve on the Family Home Evening committee. Every Monday we would come up with an activity that everyone in our ward could come to and be among friends and people who love them. We would plan service activities, game nights, and other activities. We were able to work with refugee organization and food and shelter organizations. However, no matter what activity we planned we focused on making a difference. Whether it was a difference in one of our own members life, someone who doesn't share our same faith, or someone who was less fortunate than us, we just wanted to spread love to everyone we could. By spreading love, we were living our faith. I plan to continue to live my faith, and come to know and love many more people as I serve a mission for the next 18 months.
