Hi I'm James Johnston

I grew up in alaska. I surf, play violin, and will be serving a mission in the Dominican Republic. I am a mormon.

About Me

My parents raised me with many positive qualities; a strong work ethic, honesty, and a love for service. A testimony in Christ was something I had to get on my own. After leaving home and the church I'd been raised in, I went to college and pursued a path very different than one my God would've wanted me to. After hearing the testimony of a sister missionary, I began following the gospel of Christ and will be leaving for my mission this summer!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Christ is true; I am a mormon because I have felt that in my heart, and continue to feel truth when I read the Book of Mormon, listen to the prophet and other church leaders, and teach. The people of he church are not always perfect, but the gospel is, for it preaches love.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday school for the 14 year old age groups; the kids constantly amaze me with their wisdom and energy, and teaching them has taught me at least as much as I've taught them. I offer my services wherever I can that my work schedule allows, but right now much of my time is spent in preparation for my upcoming mission.
