Hi I'm Skyler

I'm a mormon. I absolutely love my family and friends. I plan to one day start a business.

About Me

I like many people am human just like everyone and I make mistakes just like the next person. I have a mindset that many will call stubborn but if I get knocked down in any activity or challenge I will work through anything to get a task done. I absolutely love to tinker and figure things out. I am a very hands on person and I love getting to know other people. I am what some can call a nerd but that is okay. I built my first computer when I was 10 years old and am very excellent with technology. I now have 3 certificates in the I.T field so I can obtain a job so that one day I will start a business of my own. I have done all of this before I graduated high school and will attend college after I serve a full time mission. While attending high school I went to every single event and I wrestled for a year. Growing up I also played baseball and I have come to love those sports a lot! Like mentioned earlier I love people! I love getting to know different people from different backgrounds. It is so interesting and fun to learn more about others and I love to help people in any way I can. Service just gives me such a good feeling knowing I helped someone in need with anything. It is something that brightens my day and theirs I hope as well. I love the outdoors! Hiking, swimming, riding atv's, jeeping, hunting, fishing, etc. I grew up next to a canyon so I have taken advantage of that and will spend any spare time I have outdoors! And to end the one thing I cherish most is my family

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and I honestly can't picture my life without it. My parents brought me up in the church and for a while I leaned on their testimonies. As I got older it just wasn't enough and I had to decide for my own if this was really true. I won't lie for a time I really doubted my Fatih and questioned if what I was taught was true. I began to really pray meaningfully to my Father in heaven and read diligently in scripture study in the book of mormon. I had such an overwhelming feeling after praying if this was true. Granted this did not happen overnight and it did take time and persistence. One night after praying i just got this peaceful feeling. I know I felt the spirit and I can without a doubt testify that this is true. I promise to any who reads this that it will bring you so much peace and happiness. This church has brought me both those things. I know I can be forgiven of my sins and one day live with my Father in heaven. I CHOOSE to be mormon and I love it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. I try to do what Christ would do in my daily life. I was part of the youth council in my stake and it was a great experience to help leaders figure out what the youth really wanted in things. I also try to magnify my priesthood that I hold. I think about actions that either could bring it up or bring it down. I go home teaching each month with my amazing companion who has been an amazing example to me. I love visiting with the families and teach lessons and see if I can do anything to help them if there ever is a need.
