Hi I'm Christine

I love to exercise, read, and spend time with my family. I will be going to Thailand to teach English this Summer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a junior at BYU-Idaho, and I am studying early childhood/special education. I enjoy running and making sweets healthier so I can justify eating more of them. I have always wanted to travel and this Fall I am going to Thailand to teach English. After that, I am preparing to serve a full time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my entire life. But the reason I choose to remain a member of God's church is because of the witness I have received from the Spirit of God. It is hard to explain, but deep inside me there is such a strong conviction that what I am doing with my life is right, because I am following the Gospel. I particularly have a very strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know it was written for our day and it is true. I know ancient prophets wrote the messages of God for us to read and help us in our daily lives years later. There is a power that comes into my life by reading from it daily. I cannot explain how I know, but there is a deep Spiritual conviction within me of the truthfulness of this Gospel. And I look at the fruits and blessings and protection that come from living this Gospel and I cannot help but see how much God loves us. I know we are His children and He wants the best for us. I know that by following His commandments we will be happy in this life and live with God again. Just try living the Gospel. See how it makes you feel and observe the blessings that come into your life. I have seen them, and I am happy because I live the Gospel. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Every week I go to the temple to participate in doing baptisms for those who were not baptized in this life. I also try to do family history at least once a week and type up records to make names available for people trying to find their ancestors, or try to find my own ancestors and learn about them and perform temple work for them if necessary.
