Hi I'm Brooklyn

I was born in Utah and raised in Florida. I love the outdoors and all things adventure. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a family of 8 which includes my parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Some of my most favorite things include being outdoors and stepping outside of my comfort zone for the sake of all things fun! I love hiking, exploring new terrain, kayaking, paddle boarding, sky diving, cliff jumping and anything else to test my limit. Whether the new adventure includes something as epic as jumping out of a plane or something as simple as exploring through the woods in my backyard to find the perfect spot to hang up my Eno hammock, it can always make me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into the church, I wasn't born into my testimony. The ending of 8th grade going into high school I began to feel a change of heart and I began to question my own testimony. This was the time to stop relying on my parents testimony and to know for myself if this was the truth and I put it to the test. I put the Lord's will above my own and I truly came unto Him. As I centered my life around Him, I was able to feel this everlasting peace, strength and love.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith hour to hour, day by day. One of my mom's callings in the church is with the "Just Serve" organizaion, where we go around in our community finding ways to serve and volunteer to help others in any way possible. I know that as we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God. My calling in the church is to teach a class of 6 year olds about our loving Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ each Sunday. I love preparing each week to teach these children how much our Father in Heaven loves each of us and how we can show our love to Him by obeying Him and choosing the right.
