Hi I'm Cole Sorenson

I've lived my whole life in Northern Utah, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a High School student, but recently received my mission call to Tahiti. I love music and the effect it has on my life, and I was in the marching band for 2 years. I'm the oldest of 5 children and was taught by my parents to love this gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always grown up in the church, and for a long time I just followed my parents and did what they expected of me. A couple of years ago this fundamentally changed for me. I remember sitting in church one day, and instead of feeling bored and anxious to get home, I felt the Spirit come over me and testify to me that this is where I was supposed to be. Ever since that day, I've tried to always remember no matter how tired I am, this is the place I'm supposed to be, and the people in my ward are here to bless me, and the gifts I have can bless others.

How I live my faith

I love doing service projects in our community like raking leaves, picking weeds, and chopping wood. Working with other members of my ward lets us accomplish things much quicker and easier than if any of us were to do it ourselves, and brings us closer together in the process.

What is faith?

Cole Sorenson
Faith is the ability to have something happen to you, good or bad, and know that it is all part of God's plan. I don't think praying for your circumstances to change is a bad thing, but knowing that you are going through this trial at this time is not a coincidence has brought me a lot of peace as I've gone throughout my life.
