Hi I'm Josh Peterson

I grew up in Chandler, Arizona. I'm a future missionary for the Church, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Chandler, Arizona, and am still currently living here. I'm a musician and actor, and hope to be able to be for the rest of my life. I leave on a mission on July 5th, and I will be serving in the Seattle, Washington mission, Spanish speaking. After I serve, I will be attending BYU Provo to obtain a degree in either Engineering or Music, or maybe even both.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I have always believed it. I've never once doubted that there was a God, and believing the church wasn't a struggle when I was young. As you get older however, you get exposed to more and more people's opinions on the subject of God, and these started to confuse me. I never doubted the church, but I knew I needed to know for my self. As I wondered how I was to do this, I was reminded of the scripture that says "By their works ye shall know them." When I looked around, I realized that the church only brought good works. I built my testimony on this ground, and have been building ever since. I know that this is God's church on the earth today, and am proud to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I will soon be departing for a two-year mission. I will be serving in Seattle, Washington, and I will be speaking in the Spanish language. I do not know Spanish at the moment, but I have faith that I will be able to learn quickly with the Lord's help! I depart on July 5th, which is exciting, but also hard. I will really miss my family, but I have an eternity with them, and I want to make sure others get that same opportunity, so I am giving up two years with my family to teach the principles that keep others together!

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Josh Peterson
You can talk to almost any member of the church and they will be happy to talk to you for as long as you want. There are also missionaries who you may see around your area (They're the young men and women dressed in church attire wherever they go). Their whole job is to talk about the Mormon religion with people who want to talk about it, so they will be happy to answer any questions you have, or if you just want to talk about it, they love talking too.
