Hi I'm Katrina Price

I am a university student in Utah currently preparing to serve a mission in Kentucky! I am LDS!

About Me

I love my family, I love swimming, I love eating, and I love having the opportunity and privilege to go on a mission. I am the oldest of six kids, and I love the chaos of a big family 99% of the time. I am currently going to DSU where I am swimming and studying psychology. After years of waiting I am finally old enough to go on a mission. I am beyond happy to have a call to serve. Ill be serving in Kentucky soon :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into this faith. However, I am not a member of this church because of my parents previous decisions. Their conversions to the gospel undoubtedly strengthens my conversion, but I am a member of this church because of the truths I have learned in the gospel. I know that their is a God and His son Jesus Christ came to Earth to fulfill His will. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ communicated to prophets. Those sacred revelations recorded in the Bible and Book of Mormon are true and strengthen my testimony. They also help draw me closer to my Savior. I know that "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7), and that this revelation continues on today to his Prophet Thomas S. Monson. I am a mormon because as I have learned the gospel, and read from scriptures such as the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants, I have felt the Holy Ghost and gained a testimony of gospel truths.

How I live my faith

In Utah, I naively thought I would be surrounded by more LDS members than people of other religious beliefs. Well, I was wrong. Because I am away from home, it was hard at first feel comfortable going to church, and religious class like Institute alone. I guess I never really adjusted to going alone because I started inviting my room mate and swim team to come to church, church activities, and institute with me. A big part of how I live my faith is being strengthened and strengthening others around me. Living the gospels standards with those around me is more rewarding than living those standards alone. A big staple of my faith is prayer. I could not survive a year away from home, the swim season, school, or just any regular day without prayer to my Heavenly Father. I know through countless experiences that God hears my prayers, that He wants the best for me, and that He loves me.
