Hi I'm Bethany Prows

Hello I am Sister Prows, I am currently serving in the Columbia South Carolina Mission. I love serving here.

About Me

I am a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Serving in the Columbia South Carolina Mission. I am really happy that I am able to be here and serve the Lord and carry his name with me where ever I go.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I want to be and I know that this church is true. We have a living prophet that helps us connect to our Heavenly Father, he was chosen to lead us. By reading the Book of Mormon we can learn all about the church and about Christ our Savior. I strive to be similar to Him but because He was perfect, I can only get so close. My Heavenly Father knows me and loves me I want to live with Him again. It is also that I have come to understand all that my Savior has done for me. I know that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God. I love Him and am striving to be like Him.

How I live my faith

By teaching those around me about all that my faith is about and serving others in need. I live by the commandments of God.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Bethany Prows
The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. He is God's Son. Throughout the Book of Mormon you can find the writings of many ancient prophets, just as in the Old and New Testament. It starts out with a family who lived in Jerusalem around the time of Jeremiah (about 600 B.C). They were commanded to leave because the great city Jerusalem was going to be destroyed (in which many were taken captive by Babylon) and that they were to build up a righteous people unto God. They in turn became a great civilization. God continuously called prophets to guide the people. The Book of Mormon is a collection of the writings of many of the prophets and also other record keepers. The reason we call it the Book of Mormon is because a prophet named Mormon help compile the book from all the writings of the prophets. It truly teaches about Christ and His ministry. After the Saviors death and Resurrection, He visited the people that had come to America 600 years earlier. He taught more of the gospel that He established during His earthly ministry. The Book of Mormon is comparable to the Bible. Near the end of the Book of Mormon there is a promise given to all who read it. "ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost" Moroni 10:4 Show more Show less
