Hi I'm Alexander

I grew up in Texas. I live for all things sports and I love doing service. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoy sports, long meaningless debates, and walks on the beach. I always want to be the best, and am very competitive as a result. I am about to serve a full time mission. I am horrible at all things water related and have no sea legs. I have made many mistakes, but I always try to dwell on the present. The past does not define you absolutely. My favorite quote has remained in my heart since I first read it on my 5th grade teachers wall. "It is your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude" (Zig Ziglar) I love doing service for others more than almost anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

I have pretty thoroughly studied the church, and while I have found some things of question, it all comes back to my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the truth that it holds. I know the Book of Mormon is the true word of God, given to us through his prophets. I know that if you read earnestly, and pray with a sincere heart and the faith that He will answer you, then you will receive His answer, and His spirit. He knows us each personally, and He knows our fears, our worries, our passions. He is not unaware, or far off. He is with us, waiting to bless us, ready to accept you into His loving, all powerful, all knowing arms. I choose to be Mormon. To give myself and my time to His church. I have everything to gain if it is the truth, and nothing to lose if it isn't. It helps me to be a better me. A more loving, and happy me. And I know it can do the same for all others who may so desire.

How I live my faith

I help teach the 11 year old scouts in my local ward. Though sometimes demanding, the joy it brings far outweighs the strife.
