Hi I'm Becky

I'm a retired grandmother who loves traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and I am so grateful to the Lord for the many opportunities He has provided for me. I worked in higher education for many years until my retirement. I enjoy the "homemaking" arts such as cooking, sewing, quilting and gardening. When I was younger I lived in Latin America for 2+ years where I volunteered with a humanitarian foundation.

Why I am a Mormon

While I feeling of God's existance, I didn't gain a testimony of the gospel until I was 12-years old and away from home for the first time. It was while being at a girls camp, scared and homesick, that I felt the peace and comfort that came from prayer. My fears disappeared as I heard the other girls share their feelings about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I felt enveloped by love as I suddenly recognized that God had a plan for me and I knew that He was aware of me. As I've gone through the ups and downs of life it is the reassurance I get from my Heavenly Father and the gospel that helps me overcome life's difficult moments and rejoice in the joyful ones. I know He directs me, blesses me and helps me find fulfillment in living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I strive to live the teachings of the Lord each day. I enjoy reading scriptures and I'm constantly discovering new insights each time I read. I enjoy serving my family whether its spending time with grandchildren or visiting/helping my widowed mother. I especially love serving the youth and teaching them the gospel of Jesus Christ. I recognize the Lord's hand in so many aspects of my life and I'm very humbled to be so blessed.
