Hi I'm Devyn Lee Pischer

Hello! I'm from Laramie, Wyoming. I have been called to serve in the France Paris Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel and experience new things. My favorite types of activities are the spontaneous ones without plans. I want to travel all over the world and experience as much as I can and help anyone who is in need of it. I love to spend time in nature but I also love the city. Reading books, exercising and watching YouTube is what I do in my free time. I just finished my first year of college, were I was studying Psychology and French. I want to become a Psychiatrist or a therapist to help people with trial in life. I am putting my schooling on hold however and serving a mission for the LDS church. I have been called to serve in the France Paris Mission! I leave in July for the Prove MTC and will begin an amazing journey as a missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be member of the church because I know of the truthfulness it holds. When I was a Freshman in high school my family has stopped going to church and I didn't know why. I was still going to Young Women's every Wednesday, going to seminary every morning during school, and participating in other church activities. But my family wasn't. I knew there was something missing, I could feel it. When I prayed for guidance, the Holy Ghost reveled to me that I needed to go to church. When Sunday rolled around, I was so nervous to ask my mom if we could go to church, so I didn't. Next Sunday, I final got the courage to ask and she said no. I was devastated and felt stupid. But I still felt like I needed to go. The next Sunday came around and I asked my mom again if we could go to church, she said no. So I asked, "Can I go to church?" At this time I could drive, and she said yes. That Sunday was one of the hardest days of my life. I was shacking and nervous as I drove to church. But as soon as I sat down in the chapel, I knew that I was in the right place and the Spirit testified that to me. From that Sunday on, I went to church every week. With time, my mom started to go back to church with me. We are both still active members in the church and with my desire to serve a mission my father has started to go back to church as well. I have seen God's hand in my life and experienced all of His many blessings. By following the Holy Ghost's promptings, me and my family are apart of the church today which has brought so many wonderful things into our lives. I know this church is true and this Gospel is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet and Thomas S. Monson this the prophet today.

How I live my faith

My first calling in the church was President of my ward's Young Women's Organisation( which is a program in the church for young girls). I was on my Youth Council for my Stake. Right now, I am a Ward Missionary were I get to help the missionaries and new investigators or converts. I go the all three hours of church each Sunday and strive to learn as much as I can during those hours. I live the gospel by constantly doing the things that God has asked of me. I pray, read my scriptures, study the gospel, and constantly seek out Christ everyday.
