Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in southeast Texas in a rural area of the Piney Woods. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and a father of 4. I really enjoy finding ways to spend quality time with my family with various outdoor activities. I love and appreciate the beauty of nature and to teach my kids to see more of the depth of Gods involvement in all the life around us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born in a family that had the gospel and raised as a member of the church. However, life circumstances and choices lead me at an early age further and further from living the principles that the Lord had given me for safety, guidance, and happiness. My life in my youth as a teen became miserable because of sin and rebellion until I found myself helpless, grasped by darkness, and in fear for the eternal welfare of my soul. Then at my lowest point I began to repent of my choices and actions, and I remembered the true teachings from my childhood, how the Lord had always been there for me, how I was His son and He knew me, and cared about me. That I had a purpose for good to help others of His children, (my brothers and sisters) fight the battle in which we are engrossed. I came to know that day that my Heavenly Father cared, and what it means to people when they know that someone cares. He saved me from myself that day, and is still helping me 18 years later. I was a Mormon because of birth, but now I'm a Morman because of choice, and because of my Savior Jesus Christ who lives, and rescues me.

How I live my faith

I love to share the love and knowledge that my Heavenly Father has given me in His kindness, and to help others to see the miracles that He works in our lives constantly. My current calling is Stake Sunday school President which involves helping leaders, teachers, and parents learn more about teaching in the Saviors way.
