Hi I'm Alex Feng

I was born in Puerto Rico but was raised most of my life in Michigan. I am a convert to the church since 2016 and I'm a mormon!

About Me

In my free time I enjoy recreational activities with friends and family. I enjoy playing basketball and being outside in general! I am in school studying Graphic Design and hope one day to take that somewhere big. I am big on sports and love to watch and play different sports. Overall I just enjoy hanging out with friends and watching movies! Oh and I love the Gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? It's quite simple. I have come to know the truths of the restored gospel on this earth today. From the day I first met the missionaries, I felt the spirit so strongly that day and through the lessons. I read from the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and I can testify in the name of Jesus Christ that I received an answer to my questions. I became overwhelmed with a sense of peace and emotion that the Book of Mormon is true. A verse in Joseph Smith History says, "For I had seen a vision; I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it." That is from when Joseph Smith saw in a vision, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. That verse struck out to me because when I received my own answer from my prayer, I could not deny the spirit that I felt. I became overwhelmed with so much emotion and an answer to my prayer of the truths and as to what I should do. And that was to follow in the example of our savior Jesus Christ and go and be baptized. I know this church is true. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he was called of God and it was through HIM that the fullness of the church was restored on this earth once again. I can testify that God loves each and everyone of us. He knows who we are better than we know ourselves. He knows our weakness, our struggles, our pains, our trials and so on. As we open up our hearts to heavenly father, we can truly know how to overcome the challenges because through the Atonement, we can be saved. Our savior Jesus Christ overcame the toughest situation possible and knows our struggles because HE went through them. My testimony to whoever reads this is to Pray, Read and Ponder. As you do so, you will be incredibly blessed and come to understand the truths of this gospel. I leave these things in the sacred name of our savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by each day trying to be the best I can be. Continuing to pray and read my scriptures each day so I can be spiritually fed so I don't fall out of that faith that I began building up over a year and a half ago. My calling is 1st counselor in the Sunday School Presidency and what I do is help the Sunday school president with discussing the needs of how to help the teachers teach Sunday school classes and to be more effective in getting more participation. As well as deciding who would be good to call as a teacher for either Gospel Doctrine or Gospel Principles classes. Each month I also go out with a companion to home teach members of the ward. I try to do whatever I can do help out in the ward as well as in activities and help invite others to do the same and be more active.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Alex Feng
A testimony is someone's knowledge that they received from prayer and faith. It is the foundation that they know the church is true and have a spiritual witness of it. A testimony is unique to each person of the church as we all have built that testimony through the Holy Ghost that testifies and confirms the truths to us. Show more Show less
