Hi I'm Connor Nordgren

I'm 18 Years old and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I report on August 16th

About Me

I just graduated from Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah. I love sports, and spent my time in High School playing on the Basketball and Baseball teams. In school I really enjoyed English, History, and Business classes. I have been called to serve in the Barbados Bridgetown Mission and will be reporting to the Dominican Republic MTC on August 16th. I will be attending BYU Provo when I return home from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! As I have grown up in the gospel and learned the teachings of our prophets and apostles I have found pure happiness in my life. I know that as we follow the teachings of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, as well as the teachings of His prophets here on Earth today, we can be blessed. I know that Heavenly Father knows each of us individually and hears and answers our prayers. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and that He knows exactly what we are going through. I have felt of His love and strength as I have struggled with sin, weakness, infirmities, self-doubt, physical anguish, and so many other things. I'm so grateful my Savior and His sacrifice so that I can be resurrected. The Plan of Salvation has brought me so much joy in my life, and the understanding that life will be continued past the grave. I have read of the Book of Mormon and know that it is another testament of Jesus Christ! It has blessed my life in immeasurable ways by giving me guidance, strength, and peace. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and is the leader of this last dispensation of the true and correct gospel on the Earth. I know all of this to be true, and I want to spread this happiness and joy I've felt to others.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to live my faith through callings in the church. I have been the leader of the classes I was apart of growing up. I was also a member of our Stake's youth council. This council gave me an opportunity to lead on a bigger level and serve more people! As a part of this I organized events, and spoke on behalf of the youth that were in our stake. In school I have taken seminary all four years. A few times I was called to be president of my class, including currently serving as president right now. This has been a great blessing in my life to learn about the gospel during school, and serve as a leader and help my classmates on a daily basis. I'm also a hometeacher, which allows me to look over a few families in my ward. I have learned a lot about genuine service through home teaching and helping those people.
