Hi I'm Rylan

I'm from Sammamish, Washington. I'm a BYU student. I leave June 7th on a mission in Stockholm Sweden. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I love skiing in the winter and backpacking/hiking in the summer. I love my parents and my 3 older sisters. I am currently a student at BYU in Provo, UT. I take off June 7th to serve as a Missionary for the LDS church in the Sweden, Stockholm mission and couldn't be more stoked about it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it has made my life much happier, I believe, than if I hadn't been involved in this church. When I'm going through hard times, I find comfort in praying to God or reading the scriptures. It's incredibly comforting to know that Jesus Christ knows everything I go through. Living the Word of Wisdom has kept me healthy and able to make smart decisions. Knowing my family can be together forever and that one day I can be with my wife and children forever is very meaningful for me. We believe that faith is shown through works and that the rest is covered by God's grace. I love this. Knowing that if I do my best to emulate Christ and that God's grace will make up the difference between me and perfection is motivating. God only wants us to be happy, and I've found that comes through actively working to improve your personal relationship with God. We all make mistakes, but I know that through the infinite Atonement of Christ, we can be forgiven of the wrongs we've done. I've felt blessed to have had the light this church has brought to my life and I can't wait to share that light with others on my mission and the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

I try each day to pray morning and night and couple that with daily scripture study. Each Sunday, I go to church to take the sacrament and improve my spiritual well-being by worshipping with others who believe what I believe.
