Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in St. Louis. I love to climb mountains. I dream of being an officer in the US Army and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a student studying automotive engineering and participating in ROTC. I love spending time outdoors especially in the mountains, and I rowed competitively in high school. Currently, I am devoting all my time and attention to serving the Lord by serving a mission and proclaiming His gospel in Utah!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and while I was young I went through the motions and did what was expected of my by my parents and church leaders, but when I got to high school I really questioned what I was doing spending so much time on something I didn't really know for certain was true. I started devoting more time into figuring out if the church was true, reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it and it took some time and effort but eventually I got my confirmation that what I had been taught was true. I love the church and I know that its teachings are true. The President of the Church is the prophet of God and his authority is derived from the same Priesthood authority held by Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have felt the difference between having the spirit and living without and it is a real and powerful change that can only help brighten ones life and bring more light into the world.

How I live my faith

I was very active in the young men's program and was called to be in a leadership position in each class. As an Elder I served as a Sunday school teacher for my student congregation for 2 semesters, and now I am serving a 2 year full-time mission in Utah!

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We love the Bible! It is through those inspired words that we learn much about the Savior's ministry and mission here on earth. We know that it was originally written by prophets, men called by God to teach His children (us) while we are here on earth. While I gained my personal testimony from the Book of Mormon, many find their witness of Christ through the Bible and both together help to build that testimony and strengthen our faith in the Savior and Redeemer of the world.
