Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in St. Louis. I love to climb mountains. I am pursuing a commission as an officer in the US Army. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying automotive engineering and participating in ROTC. I love spending time outdoors especially in the mountains, and I rowed competitively in high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and while I was young I went through the motions and did what was expected of my by my parents and church leaders, but when I got to high school I really questioned what I was doing spending so much time on something I didn't really know for certain was true. I started devoting more time into figuring out if the church was true, reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it and it took some time and effort but eventually I got my confirmation that what I had been taught was true. I love the church and I know that its teachings are true. The President of the Church is the prophet of God and his authority is derived from the same Priesthood authority held by Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have felt the difference between having the spirit and living without and it is a real and powerful change that can only help brighten ones life and bring more light into the world.

How I live my faith

I was very active in the young men's program and was called to be in a leadership position in each class. As a elder I served as a Sunday school teacher for my student ward for 2 semesters.
