Hi I'm Sharon

I grew up in Calgary,Alberta,Canada and I am A Mormon. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel.

About Me

This is my first year of retirement after working 42 years in health care. The Lord has blessed me with 2 beautiful daughters. My eldest daughter has blessed my life with 3 grandchildren 2 boys and 1 girl. My youngest daughter lost her lifelong battle with mental illness in March 2015. After 2 unsuccessful marriages I met my eternal companion while I was working in the cafeteria at the Cardston Alberta Temple and he was a working in the baptistry. I often wonder how many times I served him before I noticed him. After 5 months of dating were sealed for time and eternity in 2010. He brought 3 awesome children,2 daughters,1 son and 9 grandchildren to our marriage. We are looking forward to serving a 23 month mission for our Lord. I love to read the Book Of Mormon, bake and sew rag quilts to give away.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, my parents were very strong in their faith and taught all of their children the principles and doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We faithfully attended church meetings as a family. As a teenager I became rebellious, made unwise choices and stopped worshiping my Savior. My life spiraled downward because of the poor choices I was making. After 33 years of living a sin filled life I knew that I needed to make changes in the way I lived,I was so miserable and horribly unhappy. I knew the only way I could make these necessary changes was to repent and come unto Christ. Because of my Savior's love, compassion and forgiveness I was able to be rebaptised and have my sins washed away and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It doesn't matter how far off the path one thinks they are it is never too late to repent and work on doing better. The adversary will tell you many ways and many times the opposite. Wickedness never brings true happiness. I take great comfort in knowing Heavenly Father loves each one of his children and has provided a way through the Savior, for each one of us to return to live with him. Striving to live the Gospel brings peace and direction to my life. I know that I never want to live without Jesus Christ guiding my life again. It isn't always easy but it is definitely worth it.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the young women, little children and adult women in the LDS (Mormon) Church. I love to attend church and read The Book Of Mormon. It testifies of my Savior Jesus Christ and gives encouragement and ways to follow Him. It also gives me answers and insights to questions or concerns I have. It also brings peace and hope to my life. I am a member of our local Lions Club where we do fund raising to build play grounds and help to beautify our community.
