Hi I'm Kathy

I grew up in Utah. I plan to serve a full-time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play video games, specifically Stardew Valley and Minecraft. I've played the violin for 7 years. Enjoyment has also been found in crocheting, cross-stitching, writing, and baking. I started going to school for a Computer Science degree and I'm planning on going on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was little, life definitely wasn't the easiest. However, I do remember when two sister missionaries came to our door. I also remember my sister, telling me to get into church clothes and into the car, just like any older sibling might do. Then reading The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine & Covenants, The Old Testament, and The New Testament. It might not have been the fastest spiritual epiphany but, I know that this is the true church. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and lives. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know, for a fact, that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us so, so much. That Jesus Christ loves us. I know that we can change as we draw closer to Christ. I know it.

How I live my faith

I am the chorister/lead the songs for the class where older woman meet (18+). I enjoy when I get to do visiting teaching, which is where me and another lady go to an assigned member's house and see how she is doing and if there is any way we could help her. One of the ladies we visit loves chocolate, so it's always great when I have a chocolate treat for her.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Kathy
No, there is not. Anyone can become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, no matter what race or color. This church is for the children of Heavenly Father, which we all are, to bring them closer to Him. For the priesthood, it is for "every faithful, worthy man in the Church" as declared in the Doctrine and Covenants, page 294. Show more Show less
