Hi I'm Juanita

I'm a wife, mother, poetess, artist and quilter. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a married for fifty two years. I have loved being a mother of eight boys and five girls. I have learned so much about individual personalities, how they see the world, what they see in the world and how they are handling life. I have drawn portraits of family members and given children and grandchildren quilts. Now I am making customized cards that have an original verse and drawing for each birthday and anniversary. I am also writing poetry based on my own experiences. I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. At a young age I learned that when gospel principles are lived I received peace and happiness. The principles of loving one another, sharing, being kind, forgiving, saying I'm sorry, making things right, doing something good for someone, not quarreling, and being a peace maker are some of the principles that I was taught from the time I was very young and will be live them throughout my life. When I live these principles I receive peace, joy and protection. The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints helps me be balanced mentally, emotionally, spiritually. I love life because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The Gospel is an ever learning, repenting, refining process. I am always striving to do better, to be like Jesus. When I pray there is a spiritual connection I have with Heavenly Father. I know I am heard because of the answers I receive throughout the day. Before I read my scriptures I pray. When I finish reading I feel I have been enlightened. I am filled with peace and joy. Because I am filled I can give joy to others. I do this by how I talk, treat others and how I live. I try to uplift others in my conversation, and in my actions. I try to help others ease their burdens, comfort when comfort is needed, rejoicing with them when good things happen. The Gospel principles and life experiences that I have read in the Book of Mormon have helped me in raising my children, they have given me answers to the concern's I have had. When I read the Book of Mormon it has a calming effect on me. After I read the Book of Mormon for the first time I prayed and received a witness that the Book of Mormon is true. I love what Jesus has done for me. Because he taught me how to love, I can love.
