Hi I'm Jacqueline

I was born and raised in the Southern United States. I'm currently a college student. I adore music. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really love everything artsy. I draw a little, play a little guitar, sing, and play lots of piano. I am generally found jamming out to varieties of music in my car on the way to school or with my earphones in my ears. I am the oldest of five. I've grown up with lots of family, so my family has a very dear place in my heart. I always love hanging out with friends whether it's a day worth of activities or quick run to Chick-fil-A, friends make the simple struggles of life just a little bit better.

Why I am a Mormon

If I didn't have the gospel in my life I'm not sure where I'd be. I have a very firm testimony in faith, trials, and miracles. Being the oldest of five, it was my responsibility to help take care of the other children. When it came to the youngest brother, it was very difficult getting him into the world safely. He tried to come at 28 weeks, which is a little over half of the pregnancy. This forced my mother into bed rest for seven weeks. This was a very trying time for me. Being only thirteen years of age, I then had to take extra care of the children, help with dinners, and manage my grades in school. It was a long seven weeks. After he was born, it was soon discovered that at some point during the pregnancy, he had two severe brain bleeds that could potentially leave him paralyzed and unable to talk. Through lots of prayers, and faith, my brother is able to completely walk, talk, and read. I know that Heavenly Father loves us and answers prayers. I know that prayers aren't always answered immediately. I also know that in this day in age, miracles still occur. I know that trials are what help us to become the best person possible. This gospel is what makes life possible.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through the music I play on the piano as well as the music I listen to on a daily basis. At one point in my life I wasn't able to go to a piano teacher. During that time, I had a deep desire to learn the hymns and children's songs. Although I still don't know all of the hymns, there's a special feeling that comes from playing and listening to uplifting music.
