Hi I'm Tshephang Ophana Mobeana

I grew up in Botswana.I am a nurse by profession.I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a registered nurse, was converted to an LDS church when I was 18 years old.I have volunteered to serve an 18 months full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints,I report to the MTC on the 15 June!I love serving people and voluntering in humanitarian efforts, that's why I became a nurse,my profession as I had interacted with patients, has helped me to learn christlike attributes like patience and humility, which are 2 principles I had struggled with. Before I graduated to become a nurse,I used to volunteer in measles campaigns held annually in our country,we visited every household teaching about measles and encouraging parents to take their children to health facilities to get the vaccines.I love to play volleyball

Why I am a Mormon

I remember the first main question I asked the LDS missionaries was the process I had to follow in order to become a missionary, I was not that much concerned about the Book of Mormon or where it comes from. I loved their good service to Heavenly Father's children, I loved the message they shared with us and prayed that I may someday become like them. When they told me I had to be a member for at least a year and 21 years old, i was a bit disappointed! I thought 3 years until my 21st birthday was just an eternity far to reach! Nevertheless I prayed and pondered on the message they shared with us and I was always getting this great feelings of joy, peace! I received my testimony of the Book of Mormon and its truthfulness, I knew by heart as the spirit taught me that indeed Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, He restored Our Heavenly Father church once again on earth, all the priesthood keys were given to him to perform ordinances to the Lord in a rightful way! I am a young lady that I am because of missionary work and I am glad and continue to give praises to God that even through college that desire to serve never dimmed. Its commanded of us that "Every man who has been warned should warn his neighbor,” Doctrine and Covenants 88:81.This message is written in my heart and will continue even after my mission, to always share the light I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ with those around me! Missionary work helps bring families together, and helps families and individuals to learn what is expected of us as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. Our Savior and Redeemer lives and loves us, He set an example for us to manifest the love we have for each other through service. My becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints was the best decision I made...I feel the Savior' love in my life everyday and His gospel gives me hope and comfort even at my most down moments. In the name of Jesus Christ.Amen.

How I live my faith

I live about 1000km away from the church because of my work,so its difficult to always attend Sunday service. To continue with my faith and to keep on that straight and narrow path I keep my leader at church updated with my progress on what I have read through the week,we also have a whatsapp group where we share spiritual thoughts amongst ourselves!I also have made it a habit to share quotes from church apostles and other leaders on my Facebook page. I am also serving at church as a young women second counselor, working with the youth is very fun because one get to learn a lot of principles like:Faith Divine Nature Individual Worth Knowledge Choice and Accountability Good Works Integrity Virtue This principles helps both my students and me to always choose the path with lead to happiness by choosing to always do the right.when I go to church after my being away ,I usually ask my students on the topics I have taught them the last time we were together, and this helps me pace on their progress.
