Hi I'm Mary

I grew up in Washington State, and am currently a student at BYU-Idaho, majoring in Elementary Education.

About Me

I am currently a college student studying English Education with a minor in History Education! I love to travel and experience other cultures. I had the wonderful opportunity to go on a humanitarian trip to Brazil in the summer of 2015. My group and I began the construction of a community center for individuals with special needs in the local community. I love spending time outdoors, and enjoying this beautiful world. I also enjoy spending time with my family, especially my five younger siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace and light the gospel of Jesus Christ brings into my life. This peace and light comes through my Savior, Jesus Christ, with the Atonement. This knowledge allows me to feel hope for the future, as I can repent, change, and become better through my Savior and the Atonement. Because of Jesus Christ, we can all recieve second chances and fresh starts through the Atonement.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve those around me. When I was away at college this past year I had the opportunity to serve my fellow church members as a teacher in a church class. I also live my faith as I am an example to my younger siblings. I try to be the best example can be to them, as they grow up. I do this by following the example of Jesus Christ, and by following His teachings.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

I find my faith increases in Jesus Christ as I learn more about Him. By studying his life and teachings in the scriptures, I become more familiar with my Savior, and from there my faith grows. Praying to know whether those things I read in the scriptures about Jesus Christ also help my faith to increase. Show more Show less
