Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Las Vegas. I love to work with special needs kids and other children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 children by 8 years, so I'm kind of an only child at home. I enjoy spending time with my family and planning activities/parties to do. I am interested in Child Development and the Family, and I'm currently enrolled in college to major in one of those. Right now, I am working on my own photography business, and hoping to minor in it. The family is very important to me and I want to share my love for the family through my future career.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a personal testimony of this gospel. I know that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings that work as one. I know that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God. I really gained my testimony of this church when I attend a Church History Trip when I was 17. I was able to go to the Sacred Grove (where Joseph Smith had his First Vision) and I found peace while reading about his experience in the Joseph Smith--History and I came to know it was true for myself by the feelings I felt. By knowing that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, I know that he really did see God the Father and Jesus Christ. And if he really saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, than this really is the true church. I'm grateful to be apart of this church and I hope to share my testimony with others so that they to can come closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to help serve my community. While at college, I served two semesters as the FHE Lead, which is the Family Home Evening Lead. Every Monday night, me and my co-lead would host FHE for our apartments. It was a great way to get to know each other, serve, and experience new things together. I've also served as a Visiting Teacher, which has allowed me to serve and befriend those around me.
