Hi I'm Camille

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I'm serving in Nevada for my fulltime mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. I have put my schooling on hold, but when I finish my mission I will continue to attend Brigham Young University- Idaho. I am majoring in Biology with an emphasis in neuroscience. I enjoy learning, snowboarding, spending time with my family, reading, hiking, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the gospel and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I've been a member my whole life, but have had to find my testimony on my own. When I was younger I would go to church and my meetings and "choose the right" because that's what my parents did, but as I got older my parents weren't as strict with me and let me make my own decisions. For a little while, I didn't go to church or attend my meetings, or make very good decisions, but I found that I needed the gospel. When I lived without it, I missed it and wanted it back. I began to pray and read my scriptures more, and when I did I felt Heavenly Father and Christ's love for me. It was during this time that I found my testimony; I learned that the church was restored by Prophet Joseph Smith and that he really did translate the Book of Mormon. I built on my testimony of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith until I knew without a doubt that everything else was true. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost love us so much. I know the Book of Mormon and its teachings are true. I know we have modern- day revelation given to us both personally and through our leaders in the church. The priesthood power is a gift from God and can help us return to Him. I am so grateful for prayer, and the ability I have to speak to Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. I am so blessed and thankful for the atonement and what it means to me. I know that when I am going through a hard time the Savior is there right beside me because He knows exactly how I am feeling. I am so grateful for the members and friends that I have made in this church and the example they are to me. I love this gospel and am so excited to continue to share it with others!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving those around me. I am serving a full time mission right now, but before I came out here I served in my young women presidencies, taught sunday school, and visit taught other ladies in my ward once a month.
