Hi I'm Brittany

I grew up in the Air Force. I love photography and videography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist, whether it be canvas or camera. I love to exercise, and be active. I love playing softball. I absolutely love sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but when I was about 15 years old I began to struggle with whether or not I had a testimony, whether God was REALLY there, and with the feeling of being completely alone. During this time I did the only things I knew how to do. I prayed, and searched the scriptures, but I didn’t receive an answer. I spend about a year like this, feeling alone, not knowing if I had a personal testimony, and though I hoped, and believed that God was there, I didn’t know for certain. Soon, Jeremiah chapter 20 came to my attention after attending a youth fireside. Verse 9 jumped out at me as it said, “..I will not make mention of him, nor speak anymore in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones..” Jeremiah tried to deny the gospel and God, but he couldn’t because it was burning within him and he KNEW it to be true. I realized after reading this that I had a testimony of Christ, of the church, of the Book of Mormon, that God was real, and that I could not deny it. It hadn’t happened all at once, but over time. Line upon line, precept upon precept, since I was little. Through the whisperings of the still small voice I received the realization that I already had a testimony that I didn’t know was there. I absolutely love the quote from Douglas L. Callister, which says, “It is a grand thing to know- and to know that you know and that the light has not been borrowed from another.” The gospel is true, the gospel is REAL, and God is REAL and He REALLY does love all of us. I know that Jesus Christ is our Saviour. That He payed for our sins, died, and was resurrected. I am truly grateful for the atonement in my life, and how I can be forgive for the mistakes and hiccups I make daily. Christ lives, and Heavenly Father lives. I can never deny it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving, loving, and caring for Gods children. I live it by doing the small and simple things everyday; reading the scriptures and praying. I live my faith by getting to know Christ, striving to become like him, and trusting God with my life.
