Hi I'm Ema

I've lived in many places in the US as well as Shanghai China. Art in many forms is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the eldest of 6 kids which has really shaped who I've become. When we lived in Shanghai, China for 13 months (2012-2013), we stuck out quite a bit. I attribute a lot of who I am to both my family as well as the experiences I had in China. I love to do my own thing whether it's reading, painting, drawing, making something with my hands, or exercising. I've been called to serve in the Canada Vancouver Mission, after which I hope to obtain a degree in Painting/Drawing. Drawing with Charcoal is my absolute favorite. I also enjoy spending time with small groups, I have a more introverted personality so I enjoy deep conversations in smaller settings. Music has also been apart of my life since I was little. I took recreational ballet/lyrical starting at age 7, I joined the elementary school band in 6th grade, and now I volunteer/work at a local Dance Studio. I'm the Assistant Manager as well as the Preschool Yoga Teacher. I hope to include Art, Children, & this Studio in my future career.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the way it has changed my life. I grew up in a strong Mormon family, surrounded by family and friends who were also Mormon. Even still, I have seen through extended family and friends how lacking life is without this Church. When I felt alone living in a foreign country, the scriptures and daily prayer gave me the peace that strengthened me. It has been the small blessings and experiences that have built my testimony. It wasn't a miraculous vision or miracle, but the experiences at Girls Camp, Youth Conference, Church classes, and Family lessons that have built my testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and His power.

How I live my faith

I focus on the little things. I have a goal to read from the scriptures every day, as well as to prayer multiple times to my Heavenly Father. Another way was through a calling at Church, teaching the 5 turning 6 year old class.
