Hi I'm Clancy Christiansen

My name is Clancy, I'm kinda pale, kinda redhead, and I'm super proud to be a mormon!

About Me

Throughout my life I have always loved sports and interacting with others. I have played pretty much every sport imaginable competitively, from rugby to baseball, but due to a few health problems I was limited to only being able to play golf competitively in high school. I am glad that I was able to play it though, because it became one of my favorite sports and activities to do. Others things I enjoy include watching movies, being outdoors (even though me and the sun have a love hate relationship due to my easily sunburnt skin), being with friends and family, meeting new people, and I LOVE MUSIC. For my future profession I want to go into the field of medicine and become a physician or surgeon. I love my life and wouldn't trade my experiences or people that have influenced me for anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this faith because my family were already members, and I am extremely grateful for that. I haven't had to search my whole life for the truth of this life, questions such as "why am I here" "What is my purpose here" and "where am I going". I know the teachings of this church to be true, and the comfort that I've felt being apart of it. I know that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that Christ atoned for our sins because he had the compassion to do it so we could all return to live with God. I know that families can be together forever through God's plan for us, and that temples make that all possible. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, who did see two separate beings, God the Father, and his son Jesus Christ when they appeared to him. I know that modern day prophets of the church do receive revelation from God. I know that this church is true without a shadow of a doubt, and that is why I have chosen to sacrifice 2 years of my life to share what I know to be true to others that are unaware that there is something this great out there!

How I live my faith

I participate as a mormon the only way I know how, and that is by living faithfully to the teachings of the bible and book of mormon, as well as the teachings of modern day prophets of my church. I have been able to have a few positions in my church, which have strengthened my knowledge of the truthfulness of this church. I have been able to do extensive family history work as well which has shown me that you and your ancestors do have a special connection through things that they did that affect how you live today. I also try to be a mormon by being as loving and kind as I know how. Even though others may not agree with my beliefs nor I theirs, it is important to be accepting and loving to everyone!
