Hi I'm Megan Foote

I'm a veterinary assistant from Utah. Converted to the LDS church at age 21. Serving a mission one year later. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If you are an animal lover, you and I have that in common. Utah was a wonderful state to grow up in due to all of the beautiful and diverse wildlife. Ever since I was a little girl, animals were everything to me. Catching frogs, snakes, and lizards was something I loved to do. Once I grew up, I started to explore opportunities to volunteer and work with animals. My aunt Paula worked at a veterinary hospital in Mesquite, Nevada and I would volunteer at that veterinary clinic whenever I had the chance to visit during each school break. She taught me about horses and eventually I had my own, and she taught me how to ride and care for him. I also volunteered at an animal shelter, the predator research station, USU's Pre-vet club, and for a long while I was a docent at Utah's Hogle Zoo. I joined FFA in highschool and was able to participate in a national competition in Indiana. I also enjoyed taking the vet assisting and vet technician course in Highschool. I worked as a kennel technician in Logan, and I had a few opportunities to work with large animals like sheep and horses during college. Now, I'm living my dream of being a veterinary assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know that this gospel brings true joy. When you are a convert to the LDS church, you have the chance to truly understand how much your life improves once your take the step of faith and join this big family. I never in a milllion years thought I would become a member, let alone serve a mission! But I'm a Mormon because this is what acceptance, love, and peace feels like. Latter Day Saints always readily have outstretched arms to those in need, or to those who simply need support. The more you learn about the gospel, the more that the puzzle pieces of life fall together to form a perfect picture of Heavenly Father's plan. You are never alone. Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are cheering you on. I testify that this gospel is true, and that it will bring more happiness than you ever thought possible. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

They say a picture is worth 1,000 words. Through social media platforms I love sharing my photography of LDS temples. Temples are truly beautiful, and before they just seemed like regular buildings. But now that I understand the meaning behind them, it changes my entire perspective. It is an incredible feeling to capture beauty in a photograph. I enjoy being a part of the family home evening committee in my singles ward. Family Home Evening is a fun opportunity to spend time with friends and enjoy fun activities.
