Hi I'm Lely

I love spending time in the great outdoors, I'm studying human nutrition and I am a Mormon.

About Me

One of the things I love to do is study human nutrition. I was always a foodie growing up, so studying what was not only the tastiest, but also the healthiest food seemed like a clear choice for me. By eating healthy food, it helps fuel my body so that I am able to live an active lifestyle. I enjoy being active by spending my time outdoors kayaking, rock climbing and going on walks with my dogs.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that through obedience to Heavenly Father's commandments I will be able to be with my family for eternity, find joy and peace in this life time, and live with my Father in heaven again someday! I am able to keep this peace in my life consistently by having faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement. Through this great sacrifice that He made I am able to repent when I stray from the straight and narrow path. I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost that is able to guide me to make righteous decisions. Obedience to God's commandments brings blessings that are better than you could imagine for yourself.

How I live my faith

I try to be diligent in any church assignment I receive. One of the callings I enjoyed the most was being a compassionate service committee member. This allowed me to participate in many service opportunities that not only benefited my ward, but members of the community as well. I try to always look for ways to serve others like Christ did. This could be done through activities such as making dinner for a new family in the neighborhood, helping my family with chores around the house, or doing yard work for an elderly person in the community who is unable to do it themselves.
