Hi I'm Kyle Rummens

I am a rock climber by day, programmer by night (or maybe it's programmer by day, rock climber by night). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The two things I love to do are complete opposites: rock climbing and computer programming. I rock climbed in some of the most popular climbing locations in the united states, including Yosemite, CA; Little Cottonwood Canyon, UT; Moab, Utah; City of Rocks, Idaho; and the Rocky Mountains, Colorado. The type of climbing I do is called multi-pitch traditional climbing. Basically I climb really big cliffs. The tallest climb I have done was in Provo, Utah and it was 1200 feet tall. If I am not rock climbing, I am probably on my computer. I am a professional software developer focusing in frontend and backend web development. I am self taught in 6 programming languages. I love how programming is problem solving. Sometimes I will come across a problem that can take a couple days to solve. It can be really frustrating in the moment but once I figure it out, I am super happy. I have put rock climbing and software development on hold, however, because I am currently serving as a missionary for the LDS Church. I am serving in the Italy, Rome mission for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the simple truths that are taught. I know that families are forever. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of the world and through His atonement we can be forgiven of our sins, feel joy in sorrow, and overcome physical and spiritual death.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a missionary. I spend all day helping people and teaching people what I believe.
