Hi I'm Zachary

I was born in California, and was raised in Idaho and Draper, Utah. I'm 18 years old and i'm a Mormon!

About Me

I enjoy playing soccer and being with my family. I am currently a senior in high school. Recently, I was called to the Uruguay Montevideo West Mission. I leave on July 25th and report to the Mexico City MTC! I can't wait to get out and share the gospel in the Spanish language in a new place.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been a member all of my life. A couple years ago my priests quorum leader gave a serious lesson that asked the question: "Are you truly converted or have you been 'brainwashed' into believing gospel truths?" I took this question to heart and tried as hard as I could to figure out if I truly believed the gospel of Jesus Christ. After a lot of prayer and Book of Mormon study, as well as reading up on conference talks, and listening in church and seminary intently, I received an answer that this church is true and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a real and true gospel. I know that prophets and apostles are called of God. I know that Joseph Smith was chosen by God to restore the gospel onto this earth in this dispensation. I know that he saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that families can be eternal if we live by the gospel and try harder every day to be more like Christ. If we can be a little better every day, and strive to help others around us to do the same, we will be happier and feel God's love more and more.

How I live my faith

I love participating in my wards numerous activities and projects. I regularly home teach with my dad monthly. Home teaching is a huge blessing in my life because i've been able to see how home teachers can be there for other members and even get members to come back to church when they have been inactive. Home teaching is important to the church because everyone should be able to have a friend in their ward that they can always call upon if they need anything or just need someone to talk to.
