Hi I'm John Sadovich

I grew up in salt Lake City, Utah. I worked for forty years in the transportation industry.

About Me

I served a mission in the Northern States Mission (Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa) I married a returned sister missionary who served in the Eastern States Mission (Palmyra, and New York City) I am the father of nine children and have 40 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. I proudly served for eight years in the Utah Air national Guard. After working forty years in the transportation industry, I became a divorce and child custody mediator, and also prepared many legal documents.

Why I am a Mormon

My father's family were all Catholic, and my mother's family were all L.D.S. Growing up I had opportunities to attend functions in both churches, weddings, funerals, baptisms, Sunday service, etc. In my early teenage years, I attended some seminary classes where I studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and loved both books. Just before I turned nineteen I re-read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. As a result, I had a very powerful spiritual experience. From then on, I knew the path the Lord wanted me to follow.

How I live my faith

I teach a Sunday school class for adults. When I was younger, I taught youth Sunday school classes and a youth seminary class. Currently, on Mondays I volunteer time to pick-up day old baked goods from from a local grocery store and deliver them to a senior living center. Each month I visit and/or call several families in my neighborhood and see how they are doing and offer to help in any way I can. I serve in the church as the Ward Mission Leader, with my wife as my companion. We work with full-time missionaries and help teach those who want to know more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
