Hi I'm Kent Hinchcliff

I grew up jn North Carolina, graduated high school in Seoul Korea, my family lives in Germany. I love singing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a military child, I grew up and my father was constantly deployed. I grew up in NC, but when I was 16 I moved to Seoul, South Korea. I love to sing, dance, play piano, and I love doing outdoors activities like capture the flag and murder in the dark! I love hanging out with my friends, but I love my alone time. I love the gospel that is in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is incredibly important to me, and i am glad I have come to know it as I have.

Why I am a Mormon

So I grew up in the church, but I did not always believe it was true. I screwed up a lot. I always wanted some big miracle to happen to show me it was true, and it took me many years to realize that that is not how the Lord works. When I was 16 I had a lesson by my best friends father in class one day, and something he said hit me like a bag of bricks. I realized I had been looking at this Gospel all wrong. It's not something to be taken granted of. It's not something where you get baptized and then expect Heavenly Father to do the rest. God expects us to do our part, and only once we have endured and done enough will His grace be sufficient to do the rest! Once I realized that I knew I needed to repent, and do better to be better. Brothers and sisters, This gospel is true. As surely as you are reading his, and as I have written this it is true. It is God's word, and His will. It is the testimonies of millions past, and present, and one day future who will rise up as one in the last days and proclaim with their lips that God lives. Because He does live, and loves us. He loves us so much that when a simple farmer boy from New York went praying to know which church to go to that he received direct revelation from God. And now, in more modern times our Prophets, Apostles, and other church leaders recieve revelation for this, His people. And we recieve personal revelation. I know this Gospel is true. I know it, I try my best to live it, and all because of how much I love it and know it to be true. I hope with a fullness of my heart that you can know with a surety of its truthfulness as I do. I bear my testimony of these things, and so much more in the name of our Brother and Savior, even Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a mission for this wonderful Gospel. I currently hold no callings because I report to an MTC in a couple of days. My home teaching companion is also leaving to serve a mission next month, but we do well together. We help uplift one another and others as we teach. While I do not interact much with the youth, I do try and set the best example I can while trying to stay real. I help serve as often as I can. Though I am most definitely imperfect, I try to live my life so that if Christ were here he would smile and say thank you.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Kent Hinchcliff
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a beacon in the dark storms of the world. It's a bright beam of hope, and it's members represent that hope. People not of our faith always ask why we are so happy, and it's because we emulate that light; which is to say, the light of Christ. We know of our purpose and what to do to be with our Father in Heaven. We know the doctrine of the Lord, the covenants He makes with us, and His undying and unconditional love for all of us, His children. Nothing other than the faithfulness of the members, and the truthfulness of this gospel have made it grow so much. And it is what will continue to help it grow. Show more Show less
