Hi I'm Taylor

I recently graduated high school. I will be serving a full-time mission in London, England in July. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and anything that places me in the beautiful outdoor creation of our Heavenly Father. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and connecting with new people. And I am serving a mission for my Savior in the London England area.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, however I didn't receive my full conversion until I was about eighteen. In July of 2016, my baby brother was born eight weeks early. His body was the size of someone that was only 23 weeks in the womb. His arm was broken from struggle in delivery, a hole in his little heart and a genetic disorder called Trisomy 18 or Edward's Syndrome, which entailed a long list of other issues. This came at a very bitter time in my life. I had a negative outlook and relationship with God. One day my mom had organized for herself to receive a blessing up at the hospital, and asked if I would join her. Reluctantly, I agreed. I had all sorts of spiritually disruptive thoughts. I couldn't help thinking that the man about to give me a blessing had no idea who I was, we had never met before. I made a stubborn promise to myself that this blessing would have no impact on me. As he started out, with his hands on my head I just kept think, "Oh yeah, whatever. This is just all of the usual stuff you usually say in a blessing." But as he went on, things started to get personal. I felt overwhelming feeling of peace, love, comfort and reassurance pulsing through me in waves. My face was soaked with my own tears, and as soon as he finished I stood up and embraced those two men. From that day on I have strived to live the gospel as I know my Savior would have me do. I knew it was my duty to serve a mission and teach those whose hearts were softened, and have been prepared to receive the spirit as I had.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be close to those around me. Prior to my mission I served the youth in my ward as a Faith in God coordinator, and now I seek to serve the people of England! I try and let everyone I come in contact with know that they are successful, bright and loved children of out Father in Heaven.
